Shadow Mountain Events has probably been the biggest challenge we’ve taken on other than having our three children of course. We purchased the property in 2000 and played orchardist until 2008. We hosted our very first wedding in the Summer of 2008 directly in our yard for my sister Michele, which helped us decide that hosting events and weddings at our home was what we wanted to do. Its been a work in progress ever since, as we expanded our back yard into a venue. That next summer, my other sister Nikki asked if she could be married at our home and that set the ball rolling. As of today, our three kids plus my parents help us with everything from landscaping, mowing, maintenance and other miscellaneous projects. Our goal is to provide an affordable place to host an event without skimping on the amenities.
